Privacy Policy
Clear privacy terms for the GenesisList website and mobile app.
This policy explains what GenesisList collects, how we use it, when it is shared, and how camera, notifications, authentication, and operational data are handled across the product.
GenesisList provides a marketplace and service-management experience across web and mobile surfaces. This policy applies to our public website, authenticated web application, mobile application, and the related backend services that support them.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the service. If you have questions, contact support@genesislist.us.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, password, account role, profile details, service preferences, notes, messages, and any files or documents you choose to upload.
If you use marketplace features, we may also store the operational data required to run the service, such as job requests, schedules, estimates, booking activity, and in-app communication history.
Camera and space scanning
The GenesisList mobile app requests camera access only when you choose to use features that need it, including the Space Scanner tool and document capture flows.
On supported devices, the Space Scanner analyzes a room to generate approximate technical measurements, detected surfaces, and structured scan results. We do not use camera access for background surveillance or unrelated advertising purposes.
At the current MVP stage, scanner processing is intended for on-device use and review inside the app experience. If future versions allow scan submission to backend services for estimates or project planning, this policy will be updated before that behavior is expanded.
Notifications and device data
If you enable push notifications, we may store your push token, device name, platform, and notification preferences so we can deliver service updates, reminders, and operational alerts.
We also store session tokens and selected app preferences in secure device storage to keep you signed in and preserve settings such as biometric login or UI preferences.
How we use information
We use your information to create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, verify email addresses, support provider and customer onboarding, deliver marketplace workflows, send transactional notifications, and improve product reliability.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand usage patterns, improve features, and support fraud prevention, abuse detection, and operational auditing.
How information is shared
We share information within the GenesisList platform only as needed to provide the service. For example, customer request details may be shown to relevant providers, and provider profile information may be shown to customers considering a hire.
We may also share information with infrastructure and service providers that help us operate the platform, such as cloud hosting, email delivery, authentication, and notification services. These providers process data on our behalf and under contractual restrictions.
We do not sell personal information for third-party advertising.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain required business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
If you request account deletion, we will remove or anonymize personal data when reasonably possible, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, or record-keeping requirements.
Your choices
You can control certain permissions through your device settings, including camera access, biometric login, and push notifications.
You may also contact us if you want help updating account information, requesting deletion, or asking privacy-related questions.
Children
GenesisList is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date below.
